Taking a Selfie

PayJustNow takes your security seriously, and we make use of our selfie feature to further enhance the security of your personal identity and profile.

If your selfie fails, then unfortunately we have not been able to validate your identity with home affairs with high confidence. We can fix that very quickly, and it is only needed to be done once.

Please take a selfie holding your ID and attach it to an email to support@payjustnow.com, or start a live chat with us in the App and upload it there. The chat option is by far the quickest.

Once your ID has been verified, and your selfie will always work (for you). You will then be able to access "MY Profile" in your App. Here you can see your personal data after the selfie is taken, and can update fields like your address, cell number and income range. 

We regret that you may have been frustrated by this process, but this is for your security as much as it is ours.

Make sure your entire head is in the frame. And you are the only person in the picture.

Selfie failure

We compare the selfie (by comparing the data points in the image) to the data points returned to us in our integration with home affairs. It can fail for 3 reasons:

1. It is not you! 

2. The selfie is taken at an obtuse or extreme angle. (Below Above or from the side at a different height from your face)

3. There is no digital Image on file for you at Home affairs.

   1.  If this is the case, please take a picture of your ID or Driver's License when prompted for a selfie again. Then reply here or tell us you have done this in a live chat, so we can manually set your baseline selfie. Once this is done (and it will only need to be done once) you will always have secure control over your profile. The important thing to note though is that you MUST be using your own phone!
